Title: Needle Painting Embroidery Author: Trish Burr Description:
Being a self-taught embroiderer Trish understands the need for clear instructions and has spent many hours exploring the simplest way to present project instructions so that they are simple to follow. The escalating cost of importing the materials from overseas into South Africa, where they incur massive customs duties, and the increasing expense of assembling project kits, means that making up individual kits is no longer feasible. Therefore Trish has decided to provide instead, project books containing the instructions from numerous kits, which she believes will offer added value.
This book is aimed at the beginner who would like to learn the needle painting technique, but will also be helpful to those who have some experience but feel the need to work on their technique or who are looking for smaller designs to use for gifts. Intermediate to advanced projects will be published in a later book, and of course can be sourced from any of Trish’s previous books.
The projects in this book are divided into three levels, from complete beginner through to more intermediate embroiderers. Each level is carefully designed to take you onto the next stage of needle painting and includes all aspects of the technique.
